Best recipe EVER!!!!

So the other night Matt was going to some class thing for work. This sucked because as always I miss him when he is gone, BUT that meant I could experiment with all of the healthy foods I want, and not feel guilty for borderline poisoning him. So Of course I am "Herbalifing" so I had to find something that was healthy, kinda clean eating and chalk full of goodies...Me, I like sugar ,...and bacon, and noodles. SO I went onto Pinterest and looked for something that was carb free. and holy cats there are a lot of options.

So I scrolled until I found this beauty

I knew instantly that I needed to have it, I mean, you had me at bacon but I mean with spinach and spaghetti squash, and cheese. This is like the best healthy dish I have ever had ha ha. My fitness pal says that for one serving it is roughly 300 or so calories. I can definitely live with myself after gorging on this for the next two days! So after having my delicious, tastes like a cheat Meal replacement shake, I got to literally mow down on this. I didn't even care that my son didn't like it, only because I knew I could have more later ha ha ha. Bad Mom!

Quick Morning Workout

So I have my specific work out routine that I follow, It gets pretty vigorous and its something that I help design and hand out to my clients for online coaching. BUT for people who aren't on my client list ( totally missing out ;) ) and want a little routine to start the day off , I found this little pic that I think is a pretty good start to the day.

This wont give you results over night, But the more you do any kind of routine, the easier it will get. Your body will adjust to the workout and at that time it would be easier to bump up the time. But do what you can and remember to always exercise safely!

For those who are interested in joining my client list go to www.goherbalife.com/coachpater. There you will get  free online/in person coaching, meal plans, work out routines and always my 24/7availability.

8 Reasons Why I love Lifting Better than Cardio

Rasons why I love lifting weights instead of doing lots of cardio:

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't always a big lifter. Infact I had the same thoughts that many others did. "if I lift I will get bulky" not the case actually. Although I did enjoy my zumba classes, hated spinning class but did it anyway I just didn't see the results I craved.

You become strong, and that makes you feel pretty damn awesome about yourself. Being able to lift heavy shit is much more empowering than being able to run 5km in 20 minutes – which I’ll totally never be able to do FYI.

The risk of getting injuries is much lower than if you’re running or cycling. No shin splints, broken bones, sore feet or knees, no falling off bikes or potentially getting hit by cars. It’s way better for your joints and there’s nowhere near as much damage being done to your body.
You can sculpt your body. Build a big, round squat booty, strong arms, ripped abs – whatever you please!
Your body continues to burn calories loooooong after you’ve finished a weight session, and cardio only burns them while you’re doing it. Clear winner = weights.

I find that cardio makes me WAY too hungry. Like absolutely ravenous. Then I eat like everything in sight, which is obviously not ideal when trying to lose weight.

It’s much less stressful. I was constantly worrying about my next training session, or the fact that I was too slow, not fit enough, would make a fool of myself etc etc. With weights, I literally can’t wait to get up in the morning and go to the gym. It is my actual favorite part of the day.

Results come quicker. Not just weight loss but you will be up to the next level of lifting well before you can beat your cardio PBs. The picture above was three months ago and I’ve made huge progress since!

It’s actually the perfect complement to sport. I became much faster at running when I started working on my leg strength.

Obviously any kind of fitness that makes you happy and gets you active is the main thing, because the way you feel is more important than anything else. (Write that down.)
But I love weight lifting and I highly recommend it, if you’re not already doing it.
Obviously teamed with healthy food!… (Write that down, too.)

I guess I'll post these pictures

Alright..Ill admit it, I took a hiatis. I took like 3 weeks off of everything, Blogging, Yard work, Radio, Pretty much everything. I needed some family time, some Husband time ;) and it felt really good.
The one thing that didn't stop though was clearly my eating habits. Although I didn't follow my own meal plan to a T, I didn't gain any weight. Which literally proved to myself (if I even needed proof) that Herbalife is NOT a diet, it literally is a life style change. My metabolism stayed up, while my weight stayed down. It was a beautiful thing. And I didn't really take too many before and after pictures, I wanted to results to be seen personally and felt in my clothes. But here is what I came up with.....

So the Picture of me in the white shirt was from just a few months ago, The picture of me holding that good lookin cod fish was from last weekend. I mean check out those legs! that's where its at my friends!

Im always encouraging friends to stop watching my results and start getting your own.

Tricks to losing weight and keeping it off

1. sometimes you often think youre hungry when youre simply just thirsty! DRINK A LOT WATER.

2. instead of mayo in your tuna or chicken salad, use PLAIN greek yogurt.

3. try to limit your carb intake after 4pm!

4. try not to eat 2  to 3 hours before you go to bed.

5. switch to whole grain pasta or bread & switch to lean & less sodium meat!

6. limit yourself to two cheat meals a week.

7. instead of bread, make a wrap with lettuce! instead of crackers, use cucumber slices!

8. fruit is healthy yes, but sugar is still sugar so limit it to 3 servings!

9. protein bars can be deceiving, check their sugar and carb content.

10. when you desperately want your latte, get it with no whip cream and skim milk. you wont believe how many calories that cuts!
